I purchased a membership from Del Rey Travel on 11/11/10. In going through the binder they gave me I found that they had hidden behind the last page of an 8 1/2 x 11" tablet their refund policy which states that they will not refund you for up to 21 BUSINESS DAYS. I thought it unusual and questioned their ethics as to why they might hide that form. This prompted me to look further into the company. I found an "F" rating at the Better Business Bureau which made me quite uncomfortable. I then exercised my 3 day right to cancel. By the way, I got their $7995 package for $4995 after much negotiation. So buyer beware that they do have a better deal out there and you can get all the same benefits of the $7995 package! I paid mine with a credit card in full and my credit card company already made payment to them. I took my credit card back to the company and asked that they issue an immediate refund which they declined to accept stating that they already had my credit card information and that it would take up to up to 21 Business Days to do so. After making further attempts to get my refund, Assita the Customer Service Manager informed me that I would now not receive any refund until the 21st Business Day. You should also be aware that all of the free gifts they offer come at a cost to you. You are required to pay processing fees and/or pay a deposit fee and there are further limitations.

Update...Still no refund on the 21st business day so I went by their office. They were closed....Hmmmm. I called on the 22nd business day to see when they would be conducting their next presentation and learned that they would be conducting them at 4,6 & 8pm. I showed up to locked doors and knocked on the door. One of the young sales guys just happened to walk out of the office and I was able to quickly step in. A young lady noticed me waiting in the lobby and asked to help. After giving her my information she went to grab Assita, but she wasn't available so after waiting for a manager for a short time, a gentlemen came out. I explained my concerns and why I cancelled. I expressed my frustration in the handling of my business with them. He did state that the company does not refund any monies until the 21st business and that they are not required to inform a client of this. He did state that things should have been handled differently, but based on my experience, this is quite normal for them, hence the reason they stay behind locked doors? I would caution anyone who goes to these type of presentations to be aware that nothing is free and if you sign off on something, expect to put up a fight in order to get your refund.

Another Update... Warning...After not seeing the credit issued on my credit statement I contacted my credit card company. I was just informed that the merchant Del Rey Travel does not have to issue the credit for another 30 days. WOW just another item that Del Rey Travel doesn't mention to you. Very, very deceptive!
