I signed up for a 3 month term. After less then 5 days I got a few smiles and I wrote Emails back to these members. On most dating sites as long as the paying member signs up. This normally allows communications between the paid member and possible free members. Not the case on christianmingles.com. I had to call the company to confirm this. I proceeded to ask for a refund They said they couldn't do that. However they would change the 3 month term to 1 month. After dealing with this dating site this is what I see. 1) They are NOT giving their paid members the best option to connect with both paying members and free members. They either get money from both people or there is no two way communication. 2) Once they get your money they will not refund it if you are not happy with their service a few days later. For a site claiming they are part of the Christian community. This strikes me as very odd. It seems they feel they should be able to keep someone's money even if they have decided they are not happy with the services being provided. I have decided to write this review, as well as dispute my claims with my credit card company. With normal businesses if you aren't happy with something you can cancel and get your money back if you do it with in a few days. Not on a site like this. Once you pay they feel they should be allowed to keep your money no matter what. THIS IS NOT A GOOD BUSINESS MODEL. I know that not everyone will always be happy with everything. But I do feel sites like this are misleading. Think twice before signing up with spark network service who run sites like chirstianmingles.com and other such dating site. I am also sure they will write a comment about what I have written quoting their services and policy. If/when that happens my reply to you is simple. If a customer is not 100% happy with a service. They should be allowed a 100% refund no matter what. If this had been 2 or 3 weeks into the member ship I don't feel I would have a leg to stand on. But I requested the refund with in about 3 to 5 days. Again if you are reviewing this think twice before giving your money to this company. They would rather cut their own limbs off, then do the right thing. Of course this is only my point of view.

We allow all members the opportunity to utilize our free guest services, to search and initiate contact with members through pre-drafted smiles or e-cards before deciding to upgrade their account. Based on the capabilities that are available to guest members, it is should be clear through our free guest membership that both parties must be subscribing members in order to send or read personalized messages. We also very clearly state our no-refund policy and felt that we were fair in offering you a courtesy option of changing the subscription package that you purchased. We also recommend taking part in our Message Boards and Chat Rooms. These are active and dynamic environments allowing you to meet and mingle with a variety of our members without having to initiate contact. We know that many of our members have made lifelong friends that they have met on the Message Boards or Chat Rooms and all members participating in these great features are also subscribing members, therefore, this will increase your ability to communicate freely.
