We had Magic Windows install by A-1 about 4 years ago. We are happy with the product. They broke some tiles on our front porch during installation and they did fix them adequately...but not flawlessly and it is obvious to anyone who looks at them that the person who fixed them was not a roofer by trade.
We chose Magic Windows primarily for the disappearing screens but the true selling point for us was the crazy-good triple transferable lifetime warranty. You can't beat that...on paper. An although we have made referrals to them, over the years their interest in honoring that warranty has waned. Currently, I am waiting for a service call on a broken part on the French Doors they installed going on two weeks now.
First when I called I was told they only did service on the weekends which is the first inconvenience. And since I had plans for that weekend I had to schedule it for the following one. When the reprentative did arrive he failed to bring the proper equipment to fix the door and told me that he could come back Monday morning(which was odd since they only do service calls on weekends and since I don't actually live THAT far from their offices, it was annoying that he couldn't return the same day as well). Monday morning he calls and says he can't come but will call me Tuesday morning and come by. It's Tuesday morning and still no call. I called the main office local number(the toll free numbers are worthless if you need to speak to a human being) and was told they would contact him and tell him to call me. 2 hours later and still no call.
To be fair, this has not always been the case as they have replaced a screen or two in the past fairly quickly. Not sure what the issue is at the moment. Maybe they are short handed.
So if you're thinking about Magic Windows, they are a good product with an even better warranty but be prepared to potentially be put on the back burner once they have your cash for installation. My next step will be to call the owner if I don't hear from the service person soon.
Good luck.
